Windows Vista is the latest OS (Operating System) that is developed by Microsoft for personal computers. The development completed at the end of 2006 and was released early January 2007. The introduction of Windows Vista took 5 years after the release of Windows XP, which was also the longest time in between releases. Windows Vista also has the most improvements since Windows XP with almost all the features being upgraded and improvised to create a better version. You can expect to have the latest Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and also Windows Media Player 11. There is no longer Outlook Express as it has been replaced by Windows Mail, which offers more stability and features.
There are a total of six editions for Windows Vista, starting with Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium. Then another line is for business starting with Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows Vista Ultimate. There is a window for every need, whether you are a light user or a heavy user. Occasionally, Microsoft will release service packs to fix bugs and add in new features. However, beware of pirated versions which will definitely not work properly, especially with the windows updates. It is best to avoid the pirated version and get the original from Microsoft.
